Description

The 2009 FreshBrain Summer Virtual Technology Camp is NOW OVER.  The contests are CLOSED and prizes will be awarded as winners are selected.  The Learning Paths listed below are still available, and more Learning Paths will soon be available on the site!

Here's what you do.
  • Click on a Learning Path that looks like fun (you need to join the group).
  • Complete all Activities to earn a Badge (found under the Activity Tab).
  • Ready for something harder?  Try the Challenge Activity after you finish the Learning Path!

Progress Update 4/27/09

This has been another good week of progress - not only for summer camp but across freshbrain.org!

We launched two new contests.

These will be joined later this week by another contest sponsored by Ed Hardy.  Keep an eye out for this!

Now back to summer camp.  Here is a quick update on progress.

  • We finalized on the learning paths.  Here they are:
  • Make a 3D Video Game
  • Build Applications on the latest Mobile Phone (using Google Android)
  • Multimedia Web Applications
  • Learn Java Programming
  • Make Exceptional Videos
  • Digital Graphics Lab
  • Animation Exploration
  • Mix It, Mash It, Make Your Own Music
  • We had a teen do the first test of one of these.  He has provided us with great feedback.  We really appreciate any feedback.  We want this to be as good as we can make it!
  • We made a bunch of progress on Multimedia Web Applications, Learn Java Programming and Animation Exploration.  Looks like we will have five of them ready for another test shortly!
  • We continue to work with Boys and Girls Club as they will host teens at their clubhouse doing summer camp.
  • We now have Ed Hardy signed up to sponsor two Challenge Activities.  One for graphics and one for gaming.  This will make the learning paths even more exciting.
