Another good week in terms of progress with the FreshBrain Summer Virtual Technology Camp. Here are some highlights.
- We made progress again with a number of the learning paths.
- First outline for the Learn Java Programming path has been created
- More interaction with the Wild Pockets team, getting pretty close to having the Make a 3D Video Game path complete
- Met with Next Vista and have a good concept for the Make Great Videos path
- Continued to work with Giant Campus on a combined photo and graphics path that we are likely to call Digital Graphics Lab
- Talked more about the music path and came up with a fun new name - Mix It, Mash It, Make Your Own Music
- We continued to enhance the platform.
- We now have the ability to use open groups for our learning paths, where they include the activities that make up the path
- More performance fixes have gone in to handle a large number of users
- We made great progress with the Boys and Girls Club of Silicon Valley. They will be building our virtual summer camp into their physical camp - having teens use their computer labs to participate.
- We met with the Girl Scouts. They will be letting their teens know about the camp through their newsletter.
- We have identified our first few interns, who will serve as camp counselors:)
- We now have Ed Hardy signed up to provide some great prizes over the summer!
This is all pretty exciting!
