Progress Update 3/16/09

Lots of good progress this week on the Summer Virtual Technology Camp 2009.  Here are a learning path related highlights.

  • Continued progress defining the 3D Video Gaming learning path with the Wild Pockets team.
  • Met with two teams at Sun. The Zembly team will be working with us to create a Build a Facebook Application learning path.  And the JavaFX team what will be helping us to create a Rich Internet Application learning path.  NOTE THESE NAMES MIGHT CHANGE.
  • Met with one of the art directors from PDI / Dreamworks.  They will be helping us with some kind of Animation learning path.
  • Made contact with a couple of other companies to support the creation of additional learning paths.  One is Sound in Motion (obviously about a music related learning path) and WiX about a learning path related to creating a website.

We also spend Saturday at the San Francisco Summer Camp Fair.  It is clear that we are timely with a FREE summer camp for teens.

And last thing.  We created a survey to help us to insure that the summer camp is exactly what our teens are looking for.  Please click HERE to participate.

Thanks for your interest!

Just want to point out a wiki page on how to create a functional facebook app from templates: http://wiki.zembly.com/wiki/Creating_a_Simple_Facebook_Application Don't let the document length (mostly graphics) prevents you from jumping right in. Go to http://zembly.com and create something, you would get a functional facebook app or widget in no time.

She is a bit too young for our camp.  But we will take a look at Sketchup and Alice.  Still trying to round out our learning paths.

I am looking for a camp for my daughter to learn and practice using Google Sketchup. She is only 9 years old, but I see her ready for it. What are the chances of FreshBrain offering it?
