well, im finished! i completed building the computer yesterday, and it took a total of about 72 hours. I think it was a pretty good job for my first time building one.
Overall, the cost was $505, which was extremely close to my budget of $500. The basic specs are:
-4gb ram
-500gb hard drive
-2.53Ghz dual core processor
-GeForce 8600 256mb video card
I think it's pretty decent for gaming. thanks to everyone for suggestions and advice!
