Description

I would like to build my own PC from scratch, anyone interested in helping along?

To begin I need help with a list of what type of parts I need.  Also, if there are any suggestions on specific brands/manufacturers of parts, that would be helpful too!

My goals are:

-learn how to successfully build a computer from scratch

-keep the budget under $500

-make the computer capable of running new games very smoothly

well, im finished! i completed building the computer yesterday, and it took a total of about 72 hours.  I think it was a pretty good job for my first time building one. Overall, the cost was $505, which was extremely close to my budget of $500.  The basic specs are:-4gb ram-500gb hard driv...

this is how much i got done in half a day. i think it's pretty good progress for my first time :). anyways i am having 2 problems right now that i could use help solving1.  my computer randomly shuts down once in a while. i think it's the power supply that might be faulty or i might have hooked...
