Geothermal energy is energy from heat in the earth. They sound somewhat bad, since only at a few points in the earth do you have that type of heat taht isn't freaking LAVA. Like, California has geothermal generators on the geysers I think, and the Icelanders have their hot tubs...but otherwise, to tap heat from the earth's core, you have to dig down 2 or 3 miles, which becomes more expensive than the house itself. | |
