anyone heard of skyfarming? http://nymag.com/news/features/30020/ i was reading popular mechanics today. or popular science? but they had an article on this... it sounds pretty cool. theyre growing food in urban landscapes.. its a good idea. but the buildings would be expensive to build. what do you guys think?

New York City, and other large cities, could really benefit from having Farmscrapers. The CO2 taken in by the plants and the oxygen released would greatly improve the air quality of cities and it would provide a great source of local produce, cutting down on emissions since the food won't have to be shipped long distances to reach the city.
