Here at Stipe Boys and Girls Club we like to do projects and activities in small groups and clubs to help us have fun during the summer. Today we are interviewing the fashion club led by two of our very own group leaders Susie and Christine. In the Fashion Club we find out how to use our imaginations, creativity and teamwork to make beatiful clothes.
Here is the interview featuring Susie and Christine:
(SS, Interviewer): Hello ladies, thank you for the opportunity to interview you guys although you're so busy. What is it that you guys do in the fashion club?
Susie: We start with the kids imagining a design, then they sketch the design, choose colors, fabric and the style they want. After that we begin cutting, sewing and tailoring the clothes to fit the kids and thats it.
SS: What is on thing you enjoy most about the fashion club?:
Susie: I like that the kids create their own designs. Its straight from their imaginations and they are beautiful.
SS: What about you Christine, what inspired you to start the Fashion Club?
Christine: Well, I did a fashion club in High School and I enjoyed the experience and had a lot of fun, so I brought that experience here to the Boys and Girls Club and they seem to really get excited and enjoy what we do here.
SS: And what is your favorite part of the Fashion Club?
Christine: I think the fashion club brings the girls together, they learn to work together as a team to get their goals accomplished and that is something that is definitely needed in the world.
SS: Thank you guys for the interview and Good luck with the future of the Fashion Club.
As you can see here from the interview and pictures, there is a lot of creativity and energy coming from the Fashion Club and it seems that things are going well for our future fashion designers here at the Boys and Girls Club. Thank you for reading, Peace!!!
