...it bricks your system. That's right, Sony finally released Firmware Update Version 2.40 a couple of days ago, only to shortly pull it due to many gamer's consoles breaking. Sony is currently working on a revised version of the update, which included the infamous "Ingame-XMB" and a trophy system. Sony has yet to release any new information regarding a projected date for the re-release of the patch, but many PS3 users out there, myself included, are eagerly waiting for this much needed feature. Atleast Sony knows what their customers want. Although HAZE was terrible, I hear good things about BattleField:Bad Company, and can not wait until I get the chance to go buy it. If you know of any other good PS3 games I should check out, let me know. ~SkiingGuru1611

Thanks for the comment on my blog. I'm new here so it feels good to feel welcome. If you're interested in video games like me, I suggest you check out Games Radar and File Radar. They always have some pretty cool features and good video game reviews. I heard good things about Bad Company and am pretty psyched after reading the review for it. I definitely second the Warhawk recommendation. Oh yeah, and if you want to know the latest in gaming news, take a look at N4G

I dunno, I never really got the point of the trophy system. It's waaaay too easily exploitable to give any good rewards IMO (people posting youtube videos of how to get the achievements, cough cough). Warhawk...meh, it's pretty fun, but kinda arcadey. Not something I would like to play for a long time. CoD 4 was decent, way too short campaign and the online sucks unless you play really well.

Bad Company looks fun, even though they half assed destructible terrain (read, the buildings have fracture lines based on which region the projectile hits), so it's nothing like Mass Effect's system, but it's something.

I have Warhawk, but don't play it much b/c I don't have an HD TV, but when I get one (Hopefully soon i will start playing again). XMB is the main menu thing...as for the trophy system I'm not sure, but I'd assume just bragging rights.

Warhawk is just about the sickest online game i know of on ps3 so far. i highly suggest you give it a spin. I prefer it over CoD 4 and resistance. as far as the XMB goes, will it be a lot like the 360's achievement system? If so will there be any actual rewards or would it just be for bragging rights?
