i like the colored blocks, but they would fit more nicely into the logo if they were somehow rounded or smoothed out. for example, if the blocks had rounded corners or something
Maybe just like the outside so it defines the circle...they were trying to incorporate the OpenESB logo, so if you made them completely round, then it wouldn't be the same.

appearently, the people that judge it didn't want the colors, b/c they picked the one w/o the colors...the colors do look good though

I don't mean to sound mean, it would be unfair for me to judge you, because I don't really know you.
But, if your going to critize him, be more specific because I for one have no clue what you are talking about.
