Description
Identify your gas usage in your house and car.
- Get an idea how much money is spent in a month on each consumption (gas bills and receipts will come in handy for this part of the exercise).
- Tally up the total cost for a month.
- For each consumption, get a good idea how the consumption is being used (watch for patterns).
- Find ways to break old habits and discuss with family members how to streamline gas consumption and put together a plan (e.g. under inflated tires can cost fuel economy by 2% per pound; lower thermostat in winter; combine washing/drying loads, etc.).
When plan is fully operational, compare gas bills and receipts on a monthly basis to see how well you do.
And share the plan with everyone else ...Â
