Description
This activity will help you get comfortable with audio editing and familiarize you with the vast Creative Commons resources for sounds on the web. You'll start learning how to apply effects to your audio and make a short piece with your skills.

Step 1: Choose the audio recording that you want to edit. Use audio you've recorded yourself, or find some copyright-free audio from the web.
Step 2: Import your audio into your editing tool (Audacity or Ardour).
Step 3: Get comfortable editing your audio. Practice cutting out audio and fading in and out.
Step 4: Try out some effects. Experiment with changing speed, changing pitch, adding echo, and reversing the audio.
Step 5: Edit and apply effects to your audio to make a finished product. Upload to FreshBrain.
Step 6: (Optional) Join a Creative Commons music site like Jamendo and share your final product with the world.
